Joanna's Home Exercise DVD brought me back to full fitness

Thea loves horse riding and from being a little girl, exercising with her horses kept her fit and healthy. At University however, there wasn't time to horseride and the amount of physical activity that she was doing gradually became less. It was then that she discovered home exercise DVDs. Unfortunately she chose a DVD which didn't suit her and over exercised, leaving her with an injury which was excrutiatingly painful and unable to exercise at all. "I ended up with a patella femoral pain syndrome. It basically meant that I couldn't bend my knees much, walk stairs, lie down without a pillow supporting my knees or even walk very far without experiencing pain. For months, the only exercise I could do was to walk to university and back. Desperate to try some light exercise, I started the "Lose A Size For Life" and "28 day Total Body Plan" DVDs to help build muscle strength. One of the best thing about Joanna's DVDs is that they are safe. At this time of my life I couldn't go 10 minutes on an exercise bike due to the pain and I wouldn't even consider starting any other home exercise DVDs. Joanna's are easy to follow, they don't demand quick changes in direction or pace and she always explains how to avoid injuries. I started slowly, I listened to my body and I followed her advice. In a few months I could squat halfway down, I didn't need a pillow to support my knees at night and some months later, I was able to ride again. Recently I even took up running! It's an amazing story to think that I went from barely managing to walk to riding, running, taking on a physically demanding Summer job and playing with my niece - all without pain! I genuinely don't think I'd have been able to do this without Joanna's DVDs."
This is a really heartwarming story. It is so important to exercise sensibly and carefully. If your body is telling you no. Stop. There is a reason for it. To think how active Thea was and how inactive she became through a combination of the wrong exercise for her and over exhertion is very sad and it must have taken a lot of dedication and determination to come back to where she is today. My exercise programmes are devised from a whole host of experience and knowledge that I have learnt over the years of working in this area and are built to support and enhance your body. To think that they have worked for Thea to help her to rehabilitate, gives me an amazing feeling of exhilaration.
